FAQ

How do I book in?

Enquire for custom or flash work via my booking form, or send an email to yelselogy@gmail.com

Please be specific about what you would like to get tattooed (i.e. size, subject, details that you want/don’t want included). You can attach image references in the booking form, or send me images of my own work if there’s something I’ve already done that you like.

I reply to all enquiries via email, within 2-4 working days. Some projects may require consultations at the studio beforehand. You may also request for a consultation if you feel it will be helpful for you!

All tattoo appointments will require a nonrefundable deposit as confirmation.

What do you prefer to tattoo (or not to tattoo)?

My favourite subjects are natural history illustration, anatomical illustration and mythological subjects and figures. I love classical and religious art, and anything Art Deco/Art Nouveau. I also really like doing knee/elbow ditch tattoos that transform when the limb moves!

I’m open to taking on most tattoo requests of all sizes as long as I’m given creative freedom.

I will not tattoo artwork created by other artists or replicate existing designs. I’m happy to look at any references that inspire you, but I prefer to create original tattoos for my clients.

Yelselogy is a tattooer, illustrator and storyteller.

My work is inspired by a deep love for surrealism, natural history illustration and mythology.

I apprenticed at Feather Cloud Tattoo, Singapore, under Shane Tan, where I continue to work today. When not at the studio, you’ll find me drawing or reading.

Do you do cover up tattoos?

Yes, I quite enjoy the challenge! If you are keen to get a cover up tattoo, please include a clear image of the area that you want covered when writing in. I’m also open to working with scars.

Every cover up project will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and studio consultations will often be necessary.

Are your illustrations available to be tattooed?

I’m open to tattooing larger pieces (25cm and up) inspired by my pencil illustrations!

As the nature of skin is very different from paper, and much more prone to ageing, changing and losing detail, any pencil illustration work will have to be redrawn and some details may have to be pared down to make sure it holds up as a tattoo.
